We have a real treat happening right now. I am testing the most amazing skincare line by Alexa44 by Michele Winslow the owner of http://www.ladyoftheherbs.biz The skincare line is created for me who happens to have dry skin. I will be giving a more in depth review later on in July. I have testing her brand new Body Creme as well. My body feels like I should be slipping into a little black dress and going dancing. Good evening ladies!

We are going off the subject of beauty products to automotives. I got a very nice invite from Deanne the owner and president of Womensautomotivenetwork.tv and Womensautomotivenetwork.com both sites helpful for all women in finding out about buying, learning more about cars. I got a question today of what two mood nail polishes I offer should look like. She was afraid that they may not change or maybe the change would be so little you wouldn’t be able to tell. She picked two MC-11 Violet to Pink and MC-30 Glitter Plum to Baby Blue. I already have one of each color put aside for my own personal use. MC-11 being one of my favorite colors I know what it should look like on. I don’t have the greatest nails just to be honest folks. I do a job part time that keeps my hands in gloves so my nails like to flake and just be a pain. So I keep them short.

The pictures you are going to see now where taken today by my husband around 7:00 at night my time. So the light wasn’t the best. But you can tell what colors should be what. Here is the first picture:

Pretty color huh? What I did was paint my nails quickly as not to lose the light outside and I painted three layers of polish. I bumped the middle one while I was waiting it for dry so I just painted the whole hand again with a third layer. I put my hand in ice water, meaning I put cubes of ice in a glass just to show off the cold color quickly. Your nails will look like this as well. Picture two: What do you think of the nails now? Can you see the change? Wow huh? I put my nails into hot water so that you can really see the change. I love this color because when it changes it REALLY changes. You can also test the bottles of moods. When I get emails about I am willing to tell you how to test if the mood polish you bought from someone else will do what it should do. I stop carrying some mood colors I know they don’t change and I don’t want to chance my amazing customers to get a bottle of polish that doesn’t work any longer. Ok how about picture three:

Wow that is what the color looks like when you dip your nail in hot water so you can see the real change. I thought that the colors are really nice. In fact I still have quite a few of Mood Nail Polishes to sell being I am the only one I know has some colors. The other way to test is take your bottle of polish and dip only half of it in a glass of either hot water or cold. Hot water makes it should up faster and if the polish seems a little thick then a dip in the hot water really will make it so you can paint your nails with it easier. I won’t put any thinner in my mood polishes because I know that by doing that the special dye that is used to created Mood Changing Nail Polishes will stop working. So do be careful and try dipping it in hot water first. And now how about what does MC-30 Mood Changing Polish looks like?

A little background on this one. I only painted one nail, my thumb nail because when I was done having pictures taken of my nails I painted all 10 fingers MC-11! Here is what MC-30 should look like cold: And how about when my thumb nail is hot? Now I don’t think you should go to all this trouble and paint your nails and take pictures of them but you know if you want I would love to see what other peoples nails look like painted in Mood Changing Polishes. Throw on some nail art? that would be just too cool! That is something I have seen alot of, in fact more than ever. Women are really digging some of the newest ideas of how to paint your nails or where to get them done for less. I think its about time!

Out of the polishes I still have to offer of Moods I am not too crazy about MC-30 but one thing I can say is the glitter isn’t big. It looks like really tiny flakes. Now I have seen glitter nail polish that was so big that it was just too much. But this glitter was easy to remove as well. I have tried glitter nail polishes where the glitter stuck to my nails! It was the worse thing ever! You  shouldn’t take sharp things to your nails but I almost had to just to remove the glitter! But in the end I just let it wear off. You can tell by the last picture that the color isn’t like the plum you see is part of MC-9. Its a soft plum so if you are expecting a really big change when you try MC-30 you will pretty much get what you see in that picture. The color doesn’t look that hot in the bottle (MC-30) but if you look at it when its on, thats a different story. And yes I only have two coats of paint on not three.

To all the wonderful men who are willing to step up to the plate and be fathers in today’s world I thank you from the  bottom of my heart. It takes a great man to be a father and even better man to be a Dad. I see it more and more each day, men with babies in their arms, guys even willing to carry babies close to their chest like their wifes do. Its a brand new world and its about time that men know and act upon their duties as a Dad.

Got a email from a young lady asking me for more information about Hot Oil Manicures. If you ever want a question on beauty subjects you need answered please email me!  Go through the website, thats the best way to get hold of me. I had no idea about this or the fact that there are more than just basic manicures so researching the question. By researching it, it gave me a better insider view of what you can have beyond the basic manicure. You would probably give this to yourself as well. If you would like me to write article about the steps of giving yourself a home manicure with the use of hot oil, ask.
I had never heard of one before so I went looking on the web for more information. opps not a good idea, found only sites that offer it as part of their spa treatments. So off I go to my books. If you ever saw my collection of books you should be thanking my Mom (THANKS Mom I Love you!) for making me a reader. I grew up without a TV like a lot of those who are my age probably did so I buried myself in books. Sorry off subject there for a minute..

So off I go to my collection of books. After looking through about 6 books I have on just nail care alone I came across in one book just what a Hot Oil Manicure really is. Ok if anyone is interested in checking out the book its called ” The Art & Science of Manicuring” by Alice R. Cimaglia Copyright 1986. You might be able to find it  at Amazon.com if you look really hard. Or even check my favorite bookstore site Alibris.com. I found this book at a book trader store while on my last vacation. And yes besides hanging out at the spa I got to visit books stores and craft warehouses, too much fun! The book is very interesting being the topic is on how to become a manicurist as a job choice.

What is a Hot Oil Manicure : An Oil manicure is to give relief for those with ridged and brittle nails and as well as dry cuticles. They say they are the best type of manicure for men. It also improves the hands by leaving the skin soft and pliable. You will proceed with the basic manicure up to the point where you would place the hands into the finger bowl.

Before the manicure, you would preheat the oil in a electric heater. Oils commonly used are mineral oil, olive oil as well as the commercial preparation. Once you have got to the point of placing the fingers into the finger bowl you would instead place your fingers into the heated oil. Your manicurist would then massage the oil into the hands and wrists and then the cuticles. The idea is to give the super dry nails and hands a extra treat by using the heated oil. Once you have massaged the hands, nails, cuticles and well as the wrists you would wash the oil off the hands using a warm damp towel. You would then complete the manicure.

Hot Oil Manicures are just a luxury style of manicures and if you were to ask for one don’t be surprised if you were going to be charged a bit more. But if your hands are super dry as well as your nails, you need this type of manicure to stop your nails or at least help your nails from becoming or staying brittle. There are other reasons why your nails maybe brittle but if this style of manicure stopped it, would you not want to have it?
I do hope this helps you, and gives you a better understanding of a Hot Oil Manicure. I will be writing a article about how to do this at home without having to pay someone else to give you the luxury treatment. Or even get your friends together and give your friends each other a hot oil manicure. Sounds like fun!

Having never ever had a body wrap before I just had to have one when I went on my vacation. At The Sandhill Spa I got the most amazing treatment ever! Sure I don’t have anything to put it against but I will always rate my next one on how good my first one was! For those who don’t know what a body wrap should be here is a short note what they should be about.

Ever Wanted to Have a Body Wrap at Your Local Spa But Not Sure What to Expect?

Body wraps are relaxing and cleansing treatments that encourage “totally letting go”. At a spa, wraps usually take place in a special room, where body coatings can be removed more easily in a private shower.
