Kim at Overall Beauty got this most amazing email a few weeks ago about doing a donation for a party in Nashville to help raise money for a school for children in need of a little help up. I thought it was the greatest idea to do and so we send off 250 gift bags with Overall Beauty Minerals samples in about 8 different colors. Here is part of the email we received about doing a donation:
On Wednesday, September 23, 2009, the CAA Task Force will host its 4th
Young Nashville Party at Cabana in Nashville. For one evening, Nashville’s
most influential young music industry professionals, recording artists,
athletes and community leaders will come together with a unified purpose.
This year, the party will benefit the Centerstone Therapeutic School. The school is the only facility of its kind in Davidson County and specializes in aiding children who have witnessed or experienced traumatic events. The majority of the school’s abused and neglected children are not able to
participate in traditional preschool programs due to severe behavioral issues. This cause is definitely one that serves severely at-risk children and teaches life and coping skills, areas targeted by your Community Giving program.
It is my pleasure to invite you to partner in our efforts to transform the lives of our city’s most vulnerable children by donating items for the party’s gift bags. Past supporters have included Bulgari, Tiffany’s, Paul Mitchell, Hard Rock Cafe and Aveda.
This year, we will offer 250 gift bags that will be distributed to VIPs as well as party sponsors. We hope to include a product donation from Overall Beauty. The little bags you put together for the MADD function are adorable and I believe would fit our demographic as well. As a donor, your logo will be included on the Young Nashville Party Web site invitation, which will be sent out industry-wide. Additionally, you will receive a formal “thank you” inside of each gift bag. As an added option, your company logo can also appear on a wall video screen throughout the
evening. All donations are tax-deductable through the CAA Foundation
(501c3).

It was a lot of work but today I got that off into the mail. I can’t wait for them to see it!!
I don’t know about you but if you got this in your gift bag wouldn’t be happy? I didn’t do it because who might see it and try our Overall Beauty Minerals I did it because it was a great cause.
Now I am also doing a different type of sponsorship that is also for children. Its a children show that will be seen on KTV. Look for updates on that later on.
