I got really lucky with this review. I have never done a review for a curling iron before. When Christina one of the Flat Iron Experts over at http://www.flatironexperts.com emailed me and asked if I would be interested in doing a review for them on one of their flat irons. Now I don’t use a flat iron but I do use a curling iron. What is, all us ladies with straight hair want curls and those with curls want straight??

All that information was given to me by a hairstylist by trade by the name of Jackie Paulson of http://stayingpositive2010.wordpress.com because I personally had no idea everything a good higher end curling iron has. I have one by Hot Tools that I thought was really good. I used to get those really cheap ones from the drugstore till my hairstylist told me about Hot Tools and so I got one of those. Now when Cristine ask me if I would do a review on this one, I thought wow its more than my Hot Tools is! And ceramic! I had no idea that having ceramic layering would be better but it in fact it is! I am no longer frying my the ends of my hair like I was. That is a major plus in my books!
I only have one dislike about this curling iron and I know its just me, my Hot Tools when I plugged it in, I didn’t have to remember to turn it on. Well with the BaByliss Pro I do. And I forget.. Specially when I’m in a hurry. Now I know that is a safety feature but I’m forgetful and just about half the time I forget. Like I said that is my problem I don’t expect you to have the same one..

How about a few Styling Tips?

Tousled Hair: Create soft, tousled waves by curling random sections of hair in different directions. Next, turn your head upside down, shake and gently scrunch hair with fingers. Bring head back up and repeat until desired fullness is achieved.

Wide Waves: Pick up a section of hair and place the curling iron under it close to the scalp, making half a turn downward. Remove the curling iron. Working with the same hair section, start where you left off and place the curling iron on top of the hair, curing it up half a turn. Proceed down the same hair section, alternating the curl upward and downward. Repeat procedure with remaining sections of hair. For best results, hair should be about 6-8 inches long.

All in all, if I was to buy a new curling iron I would buy this brand. Also what really neat that if you visit FlatIronExperts.com you will find that many of their products come with FREE SHIPPING! They carry over thousands of hair care products so you what you are looking for you will probably find all one site for hair. Now you can’t beat that huh?

***No I wasn’t paid for this review, product supplied by company, there for its my opinion ladies!!

Excellent review, I have used and continue to use them on my clients. The ceramic coating really makes it easy to keep this iron clean, especially when I am working with a wedding party and there’s a lot of updo requests. Any hairspray build up is easy wiped off with a clean towel.

Can you believe I only just found your blog?!

You are totally right that women with curly hair want straight hair & vice versa, haha. I use a flat iron :P

For a fast and temporary fix, this is great! But doesn’t it burn or dry hair just like any other irons? I mean if we often use this, will it still have negative effects on our hair?

I have dry hair and it didn’t cause my hair any negative damage. But I am not sure about anyone else hair. The curling iron was given to me for reviewing and I like it. Any better than Hot Tools which is less.. I can’t say. Its always up to the customer to decide for themselves.

Thank you for your review, it was really helpful but the curling iron that works best for me is the Karmin Salon Pro Clipless Tourmaline Curling Iron it works awesome and leaves my hair really soft and shiny.

Lovely curls! Thanks for the review, I don’t own a Babyliss but I do have a Karmin G3 Salon Pro Clipless curling wand and it’s amazing on my hair, it makes shiny and natural looking curls.
