It has been a while since I have done a giveaway so when I got contacted by Michelle Phillips about doing a book review  for her brand new book The Beauty Blueprint I had to ask if I could give one away too! She was kind enough to not only send me one sign by her personally I got one sign for you too!

When I got asked to do a book review for Michelle Phillips brand new book it was about a year a half ago. When like all things, stuff happens and I never got the book. Well I got contacted by Tim (her amazing husband) asking me if I would still be interested in doing a book review, I’m like sure!! And wow thanks for asking me!!
When you see the title you are thinking its just another beauty book right? Well guess what? WRONG! Oh its about beauty all right, but its about way more than just beauty.

The Beauty Blueprint is an eight-step process. And you have to do is given written answers to questions as a way to find that is that you need to work on and helps you to identify and highlight what make is holding you up.

What is true beauty? Taken for the book:

And yes there is beauty tips but its more because she is also a life coach too! I was reading and its fun because it has also lots of interesting facts about Michelle and some of the people she has work with or on depending.
I even did the Beauty Blueprint Assessment of where I am and spots I need to work on in my personal life. Some questions really make you sit back and think, how do I deal with that?
Some of the ideas that kind of stuck in my head came from pages within the book:

“You were born to give birth to beauty in this world” Page 119

there is more to life than what you see on the outside and sometimes who we do, wear, say doesn’t really fit who we really are. Like we dress in clothes that are all boring shades of browns or blacks when really we are very open and should be wearing pretty colors! But it get stuck and there we are..

“Know who you are spiritually, emotionally and physically will always help you create your best look on the outside” Page 150

Which is why if you know your beauty blueprint it will help you show off who you are from the inside out..

So what is true beauty?

I have always believed that true beauty comes from within. No amount of makeup or high fashion clothes are going to to really change you into a movie star if you still feel deep inside that ugly ducking that everyone laughed at in High School. If you don’t believe you are beautiful, half of who you really are will never shine. There are lots of ugly what are thought of as beautiful people.
They may look beautiful but inside they are as ugly as can be and it shows! There is no amount of makeup that is going to hide the fact that you really don’t like who you are. If you love yourself, that shines, and everyone else around you will feel that natural glow you are showing off.
Start checking what is going on in the inside, and see what there can be fixed. Lots of easy fixes are just changing how you look at something. I’m going to be 50 next year, I am never going to be as thin as I was in the early twenties, and I’m ok with that. Are you willing to cut yourself a break? The hardest person to please is not your partner its you.. We are our own worse critics..
This was a wonderful book to read, and I learn a bit about dealing with some of those little nagging issues I have going on. Now I think about the problem and decide, can I fix it? Do I have control over it? No? Then just let it go.. And pick up this book!!
