I have been having fun with a little product called Frownies. As a company they have been around since late 1880s and the same family that started the business still owns and runs it to this day.
What I got was a bag with Facial Patches, Rose Water Hydrator Spray, Frownies Immune Shield, Frownies Under Eye & Eyelid Gels.
What are Frownies? They are basically pieces of specially paper that along with their brand of Rose Water help retrain areas of your face so that the fine lines and wrinkles stop showing or at least show showing so deeply. I’m a line developing between the eyes person. For me I think it’s the only line I wish didn’t stand out as much as I think it does. So when I got my package that was the first area that I went to work on. They have squares of paper for above your eyes and even around your mouth.
They are used on are the expression lines occurring in the muscles between your eyes and between your eyebrows. I have one line that isn’t deep enough for Botox, but deep enough that I see it.
I called up the company to ask a few questions and they were kind enough to send me their Immune Perféct Wrinkle Cream which is a gel cream a wonderful shade of brown. It has bio-plant antioxidants which helps your skin. I really like it, because it comes in a tube making it easier to apply, and control the amount. My skin loves it!!
Boy am I glad they did!! I think that to really make it work is to use their serum as well. Why? When to help the rose water help the paper hold up to your skin you need a clean area to work with. When you apply your face products before you can apply your Frownies you have to wait till it’s soak it. That way it doesn’t cause issues with the Frownies Self-adhesive patches not sticking. If you are using their serum as well you don’t have to wait. When you apply the self-adhesive patches to the part of your face you want to become a little less wrinkled it’s going to take time. What it does it help retrain that part of your face without you having to go and do something really costly like Botox. Once you start that it’s not something you would want to give up.
This is a before photo of the area that I felt needed the most work. It was taken at night after me working at a computer all day.
I used the Frownies for about two weeks every night and then every few days. By keep doing it I am stopping my frowning that I do leave more of a line than it has already. I think it’s a great non-needle way of helping correct the lines that aging is giving us.
This is after using Frownies very night for 2 weeks. I am now using it very couple of days to keep these lines (called “elevens” by most doctors do to the way they look)
It’s so inexpensive and totally worth it!
You can use the Immune Shield under your eyes, on your eyelids and around your mouth.
The Under Eye Gels are really nice. You apply them and wear them under your eyes for about 30 minutes and you can use them more than once as long as you spray them with the Rose Water and put them in the refrigerator in a sealed Baggie. It feels super nice the second and third time because you are applying the cold giving your under your eyes a extra cooling as the eye gels do their job.
What they say happens when you use the Frownies:
• After one three hour application you will notice a difference in the appearance of facial wrinkles and lines.
•By evening a reappearance of the lines may occur, depending on the depth of the lines.
•Consistent use brings smoother appearing skin.
•Everyone needs a different maintenance routine.
•The longer you wait the deeper the lines are getting and the longer it takes to smooth.
For those wanting to retrain the fine lines that come with age, Frownies are by far the easiest most inexpensive way I can think of. I don’t believe a company would be around as long as they have if they did not. You can get yours at Frownies.com
