I am not sure why I got a second US Glossy box but I did. So I was curious about the sizes etc that were in this one.
For the month of May there a few very interesting items but over all I can’t say I’m really impressed. Now at least the items where the true sample sizes like they would be if I had gone ahead and paid for it.
All but for Zoya Nail Polish was to me deluxe sample size so this was more true to what you would get.
That’s good I think. Now for onto what I got this month.
Marvis whitening toothpaste from Italy. Toothpaste is toothpaste so for me it’s not all that awesome. It does have a really nice mint favor but it’s not something I would buy it I could find it here.
Now there was one item that even though it was just a teaspoon size, the scent of it almost made my eyes water.
I couldn’t test it even I had wanted too the scent was that strong.
The Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra-Gel from South Korea was just way too strong. No I wouldn’t ever buy it, but it the scent hadn’t been so strong I would of loved to of tested it. The scent just sat in the air..
Burberry Beauty Lip Mist Natural Sheer Lipstick in Copper from the UK was just such a pretty color! I knew of Burberry from their ads for perfume and raincoats. I didn’t know that much about their makeup. So getting a nice size lipstick was neat! It is pretty much just a lip tint and last about that long but was neat that the lipstick itself had their brand design stamped on it.
The lipstick is sheer enough for everyday wear. It’s a color I really liked and will have to look more into what they offer.
Orange nail polish by Zoya from the USA. One of their Summer 2012 Beach and Surf Collection in Arizona. Zoya is a great brand of nail polish overall and I think it was a great choice for a Glossy Box not just this one. With that said I’m not crazy about orange nail polish, it has nothing to do with the brand I’m just not a orange fan. I tested it out and started thinking about nail art decals or glitter over it. I think it’s a great color for summer and I see it on toes all over but not just for me.
The last two products I got were hair related. One was a goat – haired makeup brush but to me there wasn’t anything all that special about it. It nice but I got a few like it already.
The last item also hair related was a product called PHYTO Phytojoba Intense Hydrated Mask for Dry Hair from France. Oh my gosh my hair loves it. It really is luxury conditioning treatment that moisturizers and not weigh your hair down. I’m a natural blond with long hair and got to be careful with most products. I really dislike limp hair! It does take that much even for as long as my hair is. After shampooing you apply it to your ends working it throughout your hair and leave it for about three to five minutes rise it out. It was amazing!! No weighing down my hair and as I blow dry and styled my hair for the first time in a while I didn’t have to use my usual detangler. I really liked it and if I can, I would for sure get more.
Out of everything my favorite products had to be the PHYTO for my hair, the Burberry lip mist tied with Zoya nail polish.
Overall I’m not sure if they took what I said in my feedback for the first box to heart about their choices. I’m not sure if it’s a box all reviewers got or not. Will have to say I was really surprised I got a second box in the mail.
I think Glossy boxes overall have a bit of a uphill fight with so many other choices now available. If this had been my first box, will that skincare Sample was just smelly making it a huge turnoff for me. Now on value for your money, that you are getting. Each product isn’t some no name, I didn’t know the toothpaste but I had seem their brand before, Burberry is huge in the UK and Zoya rocks! So if you go by value you get your money’s worth. And honestly it doesn’t matter which box by month they are all going to have good/amazing/ so so months.
