Standing in the front of the mirror one night getting ready to start my skincare routine I got to thinking about a few things I have learned over the years.

As I was standing there remembering back to the days when I needed just cleanser/ moisturizer, eye cream & sun screen and that was it!!
With age comes more products! Now I am using cleanser, exfoliates, eye creams, serums, moisturizers, night cream, specially products!! That had me thinking about something I remembered I had read by Mr. Stassler president of Reviva Labs had said about the truth behind skincare products overall. He should know right?
He said one product can’t do it all! Among the ocean of skin-care claims in today’s marketplace, you’ll find the product that boasts it’s the total answer to stopping skin aging and repairing past damage.
Of course, this is a myth!
First, skin needs a program. Proper cleansing, exfoliation, antioxidant protection, hydration, oxygenation, stimulation … as well as other individual needs. What’s more, skin needs change with climate, emotions, stress, illness, etc.
And as I am now 50 I swear sometimes its upkeep is what I am mostly doing. And with stress I am now getting breakouts like I haven’t had since I was a teen.. what the crap is that??
I try to use the least number of products but that isn’t always going to work for what I personally need. There is no magic bullet when it comes to skincare, there is no way one product will do everything you need.
You may not realize it but your skin can get ‘bored’ of what you are using as well! Its like your hair care, you change up your shampoos right?

Why not change up your skincare products? Just something to think about the next time to go looking at skincare..
Now here is the part about the giveaway I am doing! I am getting to offer you something new to possibly win that will add to your skincare routine!!

And if you like leave a comment, how often do you change up your skincare routine?

I try to change my regime every so often unless its something I know I’m getting good results with and can see it. With me being 52 and going through menopause this last year, my skin has went crazy and become dry as the Sahara and I had always had oily skin. At least the oil helped this long with wrinkles not showing.

I have always had dry skin but it seems as I am getting older, its getting drier
So I totally know what you mean Connie!!
Excellent product review. I change my skincare routine twice per year. At the start of winter and start of summer. My skin is dry in winter and oily in summer, so the routine change is inevitable
That is a very good point you have, and I had forgotten to say something about that.. Thanks!!
I do agree with that. My wife and sister experienced being disappointed by those products that promise to be the one solution to skin concerns.
