For someone who has natural nails I have always loved glass nail files. My problem with them has always been they came in a plastic box or sheath and it just didn’t protect them that well. And well they just didn’t look classy no matter how much I paid for them.

Now I have talked with a few of my friends and glass files are well you love them or you hate them there is no real middle ground. When I asked about how they create their nail files I got this:
Mont Bleu uses in the production of their glass nail files a Czech tempered glass. They also use different types of crystals which are used to decorate the products have a very unique light reflecting quality to them, and that’s due to the Swarovski crystals’ unique amount of edges.

Pretty cool huh? What stands out is the quality of the file itself. I have one like I said and it sits in a box and I paid over $14.00 for it at a Nail Pro Show years ago. So I got it out and started feeling the edges, even sitting in a box there was a chip out of the end of that file! That is why I think the fact that Mont Bleu comes in a velvet sheath really just looks better and it protects the edges better. I didn’t know this but the ends of the Mont Bleu glass nail file are sanded up by hand! So much quality in a glass nail file! Wow
