Whipped Sugar Scrub by Selma Valentine Review

Got to love a great sugar scrub! Its just such a shame that not all sugar scrubs are that great, some are artificially colored, or even worse so heavy scented or greasy you got to super clean the bottom of your tub just to remove the oil left behind! I am betting you have all come across ones like that. :(
When I got a email from a brand new company called Selma Valentine, which happens to offer products such as soy based candles, body butters and sugar scrubs. When asked what I would like to test out? You got it their Whipped Sugar Scrub! :D

What they say about their product line:
All of our products are handmade, paraben-free and use only the highest quality of premium ingredients. The best part about this product line is that it is 100% eco-friendly!

I decided on their Whipped Sugar Scrub scented Jamrock which just happens to be their best seller as well. Now when I was checking out what they have to offer I saw that unlike lots of other brands, there is no added color, nothing to take away from the products. They call themselves Spa Luxury and that makes sense.

What they say about their Whipped Sugar Scrub
Get whisked away with our buttery rich, thick and creamy whipped sugar scrub. Selma Valentine’s handmade scrub blends fine sugar with cocoa butter, shea butter and jojoba oil to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. Get rid of dead skin cells, cleanse and condition all at the same time.
Our sugar scrub is oh so sweet to your skin, not sticky or greasy! Jamrock scent is imagine the tropical scent of coconut with a twist of citrus lime balanced by the green aroma of verbena in our refreshing Jamrock fragrance.

What did I really like about their sugar scrub? One reason is there was no heavy greasy mess on the bottom of my tub, the other was just how light their scent is. The scent wasn’t what I expected, well to be honest I thought all I would smell is coconut which happens not to be my favorite scent. :( ( Sorry I think coconut belongs in suntan lotion not on me LOL )
I was so happy to find that this wasn’t the case! :) It has a very light citrus scent that doesn’t over-whelm your scents. If you would to use this scrub I would buy the body lotion to go with it. That way you have have the scent last longer on your skin.

Side note: One awesome thing about sugar scrubs that I am not sure that you know is, they can also be used as a shaving medium.. ;) They work wonderfully as a medium for shaving ones legs with. I use a throw away razor for it. ;) And it leaves your skin feeling softer. At least that is how it has worked for me.

Wintertime is the hardest on your skin, and dry flaking skin on your legs are just not pretty. A good sugar scrub will help with dry skin.
