One of the cool things about owning a business that sells nail polish (mostly indie brands) you get to test out and wear the brands you offer. Well today that is one of those.
After finding out that I will be offering a Crows Toes/Elevation duo soon I had to go hunting for any Elevations I may own. Well I happen to own Liana which is a really pretty brown. But I need a little extra so I applied over the top Fallen by Serum no. 5
This is one coat of Fallen over Elevation color Liana.. sure looks amazing huh? I was surprised at the natural glow that these two colors bring out together. Pretty cool huh?
What I really liked about Fallen was there are gold hex type glitters that you do not have to hunt for. There is enough in the bottle to get at least one on each nail.
Now this is what it looks like when you take it out of the sunlight. The red tones of Fallen with the brown of Elevation just make a great combo. But that left me wondering, can you wear Fallen on its own?
The next day I decided that I wanted to know if you can wear Fallen without having to go hunting for a base color to wear over it. But first your moment of Zen..
I can’t remember which silly tv show I watch that says those words at the end of the show.. I will have find out and get back to you on that.
When you wear Fallen on its own, I had to apply four coats because I didn’t want to see the tip of my nails. But you could probably get away with three coats. To help bring out the shine I applied one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Top Coat.
I found that Fallen is more a red brick shade when you look at in the sunlight, and when you apply it over a brown it helps tone down the red a bit. Its a really awesome shade and now I have decided that I am glad I decided to wear it today. You can find Elevation here: Elevation shop ( I bought mine when she was selling on etsy)
What you think? Too red for you, or just enough? How are you spending your Saturday?
