Who was Ms. Tracy Wrong? Well she did all kinds of things that would be wrong for a young lady in the 19 50’s would do. And you can tell when you see what Ms. Tracy Wrong has been up to.
Who was Ms. Tracy Right? Well  Ms.Tracy Right was a very popular young lady who did everything a nice, well brought up young lady would do if you were living in the 1950’s that is.
Meet Ms.Tracy Wrong: She is a very fun loving young lady who wants to be popular. Now here is a few things that were just so wrong in the 1950’s for a young lady to be doing.

Poor Ms. Tracy Wrong:

• is often in a hurry, so dabs more color and powder over her old make up.


• seldom uses foundation and rubs her face powder into the pores.


• uses the same unclean puffs day after day, from her dressing table, vanity case or pockets.


• applies her rouge, lipstick and mascara in a studious copy of her best friend or favorite star.


• neck seldom gets more than a flick of a powder puff, if that. One might think she never expects eyes to stray below her jawbone.


• gets busy with a file when her nails seem too long or get rough.


• rubs on a bit of hand lotion when she happens to think about it.


• isn’t always as careful to remove superfluous hair as she should be. It can occasionally be seen through her gauzy nylon hose.


• is sometimes seen with perspiration stains on her dresses and blouses.


• can’t be bothered about brushing her hair. Its seems sorta’ unnecessary and ‘old fashioned’. A good combing seems to be enuf’.


• sometimes uses a pin to replace a missing button, If there is a wrinkle now and then, well we can’t be perfect.


• goes in for huge quantities of heavy perfume.


• is tired at the day’s end, so can’t be bothered with washing up.

Wow that is lots of things that even in today’s standards are still wrong! Not removing your makeup? Hairy legs? Heavy perfume use?
Meet perfect Ms. Tracy Right:

• She is a happy, clever young lady who is popular.


• thoroughly cleans her face at least twice a day.


• uses a suitable powder base before fluffing powder on her face.


• keeps her powder puffs clean or uses ting sterile cotton pads.


• has studied her own type and face in relation to make up.


• applies all her make up carefully, avoiding that ‘made-up” look.


• never neglects her neck when caring for her skin or makeup up her face.


• gives herself a careful manicure each week, and with any additional needed care each day.


• uses hand lotions regularly and specially creams after activities that are hard on the hands.


• uses a depilatory or razor to avoid all unsightly superfluous hair and always checks herself on this point.


• uses deodorant and also dress shields when necessary.


• uses both comb and hair brush . When brushing her hair she hangs her head forward and to each side, brushing from the scalp to the hair ends with a good bristle brush.


• keeps her clothes pressed and in good repair. They always fit and are appropriate for the occasion.


• uses perfumes and colognes carefully, applying them with a dob of cotton or atomizer. The time and places governs her choices.


• never fails to scrub off all old make up before she retires at night.
