Simple Tips On How Apply Eyeshadows Perfectly

As a seller and creator of Overall Beauty Minerals, I am constantly asked two questions, what is the right eyeshadow shade for me, and how do you apply loose pigment eyeshadows?
Your makeup is just as important to your final look as the clothes you wear; it could be even more important. We’ve all seen women who had no idea how to apply eyeshadow. But we have also seen women who know how to apply it correctly and who look well-groomed and beautiful. Don’t you want to be one of those women? Of course, and we’ll give you some great tips so you can do just that.

Good news: Applying eyeshadow correctly isn’t difficult at all. It’s just a matter of finding the right technique and your personal style. Don’t worry if it takes a few tries to get it right. All you need is eyeshadows, and a perfect set of makeup brushes! Or your fingers, whatever will work for you.

Check out these tips:

1. Always apply a base coat or eyeshadow primer on your eyelids just as you do to the rest of your face. It gives a nice, even canvas to work with. Work with a beautiful all-over natural color like Ceramic or Creamy Vanilla. Very beautiful and basic shades of light brown.

2. The best advice anyone can give you is: blend, blend and blend some more! I can’t stress this enough. Try an experiment. Blend one eye and then use a brush and apply the other eye. You will immediately understand what I am talking about, and you will never forget to blend again.

3. If you want a dramatic look? Take your eyeshadow brush, add a small amount of the eyeshadow color of your choice and place it on your eyeshadow lid. Next soak the brown in water and then in the shade and then apply it. It gives you a much deeper and more dramatic color. Do not add water to your mineral eyeshadow jar, especially if you use loose pigments. The easiest way, is to take a bit of loose pigment mineral eyeshadow and put it into the lid. This way, you do not contaminate with germs your eyeshadow.

When it comes to eyeshadow colors based on eye color? When deciding on types of eyeshadows such as mattes or shimmers? Take your age into account. Shimmery colors are not a good idea for people over 40. Working with opaque colors is never a bad idea!

4. If you have blue eyes, wear purple, violet, taupe, gray, deep blue and black. Original colors include fuchsia, turquoise and silver.

5. If you have green eyes, wear purple, plum, forest green, brown and khaki. The original colors are light green, gold and bright purple.

6. If you have brown eyes, wear champagne, copper, brown, apricot, khaki and beige. Original colors include royal blue, tangerine and hand pink.

7. Anyone can wear navy blue, powder blue and charcoal. Fun colors include silver. Navy is a beautiful eyeliner color if you prefer not to wear black eyeliner.

8. Apply a lighter eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eye to reflect and make your eyes look younger.

9. If you want your eyes to look bigger, use a light color in the inner corner and a darker shade in the center of the eye area. Want to make your eyes look brighter? Use a light blue pencil under your eyes. Blue eyeshadow lightly applied under the eyes work as well. Do not use pink if you have light color eyes, as it can make red eyes look worse. I use white in the waterline, because I have blue eyes, that makes them look brighter.

10. Practice until eyeshadow application is down to a science. Getting good at it will make your makeup look more natural and refined. If you are going to work 5 days a week, you need to figure out the fastest way to get it done, or just get up earlier.

11. It’s a good idea to only apply dark eyeshadow only in the crease, or at the base of your lashes as eyeliner. Dark eyeshadows made eyes recede. Which can make small eyes look even smaller.

So that’s it. With these tips, you now know how to apply eyeshadow to look your best.

Keep in mind that as you practice all of these steps, pay attention to what works best for you. Practice alone or with a friend if you find it easier to ask someone else’s opinion.

So give it a try and have fun!
