Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water Eye Makeup Remover Review

You never realize how much you love a simple product than when you don’t have it and you need it! Which comes to why I am doing a product review for Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water. Now here is what happened and why I LOVE this eye makeup remover!

Now the reason why I chose this product over others that are made with micellar water is really pretty simple. It is all because I saw a ad for Garnier on TV one night and thought why not give it a try? So because I was using pads type that didn’t really do its job, I decided to give this a try. I was using eye makeup removers pads by ALMAY which are good by they tend to be a bit oily. Which gets in my eyes and bugs the crap out of me! So, thanks to a TV ad, I had something else to try to help me remove water-proof mascara.

Oh my gosh boy am I glad that I did!

What I have always wondered – what is Micellar Water and why is it so good?

I had just started wearing water-proof mascara and needed a really good mascara remover that wasn’t oil based. I have a love/hate relationship with eye makeup removers. I really do! So I ordered it and had bought a 2-pack the first time.
What happen was, I ran out of Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water, but I didn’t realize that I had. When I bought it, I got it off Amazon and I bought two bottles at that time. So, I wore water-proof mascara and when I went to remove it, I had to use the ALMAY eye makeup remover pads and got oil in my eyes, once again!  It is a great brand, it really is but for me, I have them as just in case, not something I use all the time.
But when that said, thank goodness I have Amazon Prime! I say that because I ordered Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water 2-Pack for less than $14.00 using Amazon Prime and got my new order in like two days!

(Side note, I use Amazon Smile to order anything because a tiny bit is donated to my favorite rescue for guinea pigs)

When I use a product to remove my water-proof mascara and it has oil base to it, I end up getting it in my eyes. You would think that it would be easy to get out of my eyes right? Wrong! For some reason it stays in my eyes and bugs for another day. No clue what it happens but it does.

How do I use it?

What I love most about Garnier brand is the ease of use. All I have to do it shake the bottle, put some on a cotton pad, hold it on my lashes for about a minute and it really removes it quickly and easy.

Simple, but boy does it work! If you hold it to your lashes for about a minute or some before trying to remove your mascara it works better. I have had to use more than one pad, but that can depend on which brand of water-proof mascara I use.

Did I learn my lesson? You bet I did! Now I keep my eye on my bottle of makeup remover and once I start into my second bottle I order more off Amazon. 🙂

It comes in two sizes, 3.4 oz which is the travel size or 13.5 oz which is what my 2-pack size was.
